The Whistler Media House is conveniently located within Whistler's pedestrian village, at Maurice Young Millennium Place. WMH is adjacent to Whistler Celebration Plaza, an official venue where thousands will gather for nightly medal ceremonies as well as entertainment and concerts. WMH is also less than five minutes walk from the Main Whistler Media Centre (for rights-holders and media accredited with VANOC), and the Excalibur Gondola for access to the Whistler Sliding Centre (venue for bobsleigh, luge and skeleton). A 10-15 minute coach ride will provide access to Whistler Creekside (venue for alpine events) and a 30-45 minute coach ride will provide access to Whistler Olympic Park (venue for Nordic events).
Tourism Whistler has established several stand up/ live locations throughout the village - with scenic or lively public backdrops for your broadcasting requirements. The compact design of the village ensures that all locations are within a short walk of WMH.
With its location directly within Whistler's picturesque and electric village, media will be right in the middle of the public celebration and excitement - close to five live sites spread throughout the village and numerous restaurants, bars and cafes.
Various organized tours will be conducted for qualified media from WMH throughout the duration of the Games, and a shuttle service will be provided to media participating in these tours.
